Award for Brand Iden­tity de­sign of butch­ery goes to lo­cal firm

A Te Awa­mutu business has re­ceived na­tional ac­co­lades for their cre­ative work at a lo­cal butch­ery.

Alexan­dra Images won two awards in the New Zealand Sign and Dis­play As­so­ci­a­tion Awards for its work for Ex­pleo.

The pres­ti­gious na­tional awards recog­nises out­stand­ing de­sign and crafts­man­ship across a range of sign mak­ing meth­ods and tech­nolo­gies.

Ev­ery year it re­ceives hun­dreds of en­tries from all around New Zealand.

Alexan­dra Images won a sil­ver medal for them­ing Ex­pleo. It also won a gold medal for orig­i­nal in­house de­sign of Ex­pleo’s brand iden­tity.

Staff branded the en­tire shop and de­signed and ex­e­cuted ev­ery­thing from the logo and business cards to the food la­bels and sig­nage.

They in­stalled light­ing, wall treat­ments, butcher’s blocks, a water fea­ture, sig­nage and the front counter.

“Ev­ery­thing you see was de­signed, made or in­stalled by us,” says Alexan­dra Images di­rec­tor Ange Ma­son.

Ange thanked her ded­i­cated and tal­ented staff for its hard work on the project.
