Find­ing out how the mil­len­ni­als think

An op­por­tu­nity for stu­dents to get cre­ative and win $1500 has launched this month na­tion­wide.

Fi­nan­cial ad­vis­ers LifeCovered an­nounced their Mil­len­ni­als Schol­ar­ship to bet­ter un­der­stand how mil­len­ni­als buy life in­sur­ance on­line.

“We want to ap­peal to the younger gen­er­a­tion with the schol­ar­ship,” said LifeCovered fi­nan­cial ad­viser Will Olsen. “Mil­len­ni­als think in ‘Google terms’ so ev­ery­thing is ac­cessed on­line. Sta­tis­tics from other mar­kets show that this age group rarely wants to meet with ad­vis­ers face-to-face.

“So we want to find out how we earn trust on­line with that age group and be­come ap­proach­able to them.” The cash prize is open to cur­rent full-time un­der­grad­u­ate stu­dents in New Zealand, who have a min­i­mum av­er­age of a B grade. Stu­dents are en­cour­aged to cre­ate a 1-2 minute video on how to gain trust with mil­len­ni­als, and sub­mit it on­line at lifecovered.nz/schol­ar­ship be­fore the April 12, 2019 dead­line.
