A spring hoe-down

Three days of coun­try mu­sic comes to Te Awa­mutu from Oc­to­ber 26-28 when The Branded Coun­try Mu­sic Te Awa­mutu Spring Hoe-Down hits town.

Or­gan­iser Keith Willis has put to­gether a line-up of na­tional artists, in­clud­ing Craig Robert­son, Dave Ewart, Dennis Au­gust, Donna Saun­ders, Joy Adams and Nel­ton & Faye.

There is also a huge line-up of tal­ent in the sup­port­ing artists, in­clud­ing Te Awa­mutu rising star Ha­ley Cole.

The three-day event takes place at Te Awa­mutu Sport and Recreation Club, which has pro­vi­sion for mo­torhome park­ing for the week­end for a fee of $20.

Fri­day opens with an open mic night and guest artists from 4pm to 10pm.

Satur­day is a 10am-10pm all day af­fair with open mic, in­vited guests lead­ing to the Show­case Con­cert.
