James Kerr: James is back at Club Wairarapa this Fri­day. Club Wairarapa, 20 Es­sex Street, Master­ton, Master­ton, Fri­day 6 Oc­to­ber 2017 from 7:30pm to 11:30pm Na­tional Sec­ondary Schools’ Brass Band: The Na­tional Sec­ondary Schools’ Brass Band with guest cor­net soloist, Kyle Law­son, presents ‘From Be­hind the Cur­tain’, a pro­gramme fea­tur­ing mu­sic from Eastern Europe. The band looks for­ward to pre­sent­ing a di­verse pro­gramme of mu­sic, in­clud­ing Sabre Dance, the Scene Fi­nale from Swan Lake, as well as a num­ber of pieces fea­tur­ing cor­net mas­ter Kyle Law­son. The band per­fo­prms at Carter­ton Events Cen­tre, Hol­loway St, Carter­ton, Fri­day 6 Oc­to­ber 4pm to 6pm Amici En­sem­ble: 4pm Sun­day 8 Oc­to­ber, at 57Wood Street, Grey­town, ad­mis­sion $25 adults, $10 stu­dents. Movie fundraiser for OXFAM walk: RI­VAL Wealth Ul­ti­mate Walk­ers goal is to walk 100km in less than 26 hours in Whakatane on the 10th March 2018 and raise $10,000 for OXFAM do­ing so. They are show­ing amovie as part of this fundrais­ing ef­fort on Sun­day 15th Oc­to­ber 2017, the movie is called The Moun­tain Be­tween Us.
