Heart Beats: It’s the lit­tle things: Ex­hi­bi­tion Fundraiser. Over 80 artists have taken on the 10cm square can­vas chal­lenge. All works $25. Ex­hi­bi­tion runs October 10-25. Movie fundraiser for OXFAM walk: RI­VAL Wealth Ul­ti­mate Walk­ers goal is to walk 100km in less than 26 hours in Whakatane on the 10th March 2018 and raise $10,000 for OXFAM do­ing so. They are show­ing amovie as part of this on Sun­day 15th October 2017, the movie is called The Moun­tain Between Us. Doors open at 2.30pm with the movie start­ing at 3.00pm. Play­cen­tre: ‘‘Fam­i­lies grow­ing to­gether’’, Play­cen­tre is a par­ent co- op­er­a­tive of­fer­ing Govern­ment funded, qual­ity pre- school ed­u­ca­tion for chil­dren aged 0- 6 years. Ses­sions run from 9 amto 12 noon and are mixed age, so they are fan­tas­tic for the whole fam­ily to at­tend, with the added ben­e­fit of of­fer­ing free NZQA recog­nised adult ed­u­ca­tion.
