South­land Boy’s High School trav­elled to Oa­maru to com­pete against Waitaki Boy’s High School last week. The Small­bore teams com­peted, with South­land tak­ing the hon­ours 743.15 to 699.7. The Jenkin’s tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion points gained af­ter the fi­nal round 6; Enfield 8, Pukeuri 16, Tokarahi 10, Oa­maru Rail­way 14. Tokarahi beat Oa­maru Rail­way, 97 to 95.33. Pukeuri won against Enfield, 99 to 93.5. Pukeuri has won the Jenk­ins Tro­phy. The Doug Wil­letts cup for In­di­vid­ual hand­i­cap was won by Karl Valpy and the A.A. Hunter chal­lenge tro­phy for Vet­er­ans off ri­fle was won by Adri­anne Sher­win. The last of the ‘‘Grand Slam’’ Otago Cham­pi­onships was held at the Bal­clutha Range hosted by South Otago Assn. Tony Black (Bal­clutha) won Master Grade,390.23; Mor­ris Steven­son, (Arthur Bar­nett),won A Grade,394.21, Mur­ray Reeves, 2nd, with 389.17; Gerald Dodd (Clyde) won B Grade,391.20; Tar­nisha Har­ri­son,(Arthur Bar­nett),won C Grade,381.09; Nic Bros­na­han, (Arthur Bar­nett), won D Grade,369.06. Over­all win­ners for Master Grade, Peter McCal­lum, A Grade, Mur­ray Reeves; B Grade, Sam Young; C Grade, Tar­nisha Har­ri­son; D Grade, Nic Bros­na­han.
