A new walk is due to open in Kangaroo Island, South Australia in October. The five-day Island Wilderness Trail, built and managed by the Department of Environment Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR), stretches 66km from the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre to Kelly Hill Caves with campsites along the way.

Nature’s secrets are waiting to be discovered at every step of the 66 kilometre five-day trek, with the trail weaving its way through the most botanically unique area in all of South Australia before reaching the rugged, remote and spectacular coastline of the Southern Ocean. The unimaginable beauty of this part of the world has to be seen to be believed. There are no transfers available to the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre yet but Sealink South Australia is currently reviewing tour package options including the Wilderness Trail.
