Top women struggle
GOLF: Lydia Ko is in good company, with the world’s top women’s golfers off the pace after the first round of the third major of the year. Ko opened with a twoover 74 at the women’s PGA Championship in Illinois to be tied for 85th, eight shots off the lead. None of the world’s top four ranked players are under par. Meanwhile, Danny Lee opened with a three-over 73 at this week’s PGA Tour event in Maryland to be tied for 102nd at three-over par.
