WHAT WOULD YOU SAVE... IF YOUR HOUSE WAS ON FIRE?
Clytie Campbell Dancer
My mum got me my first pair of Doc Martens in London in the 90s and I wore them until they wore out. Now, I’ve got a range to choose from — they just keep bringing out cooler ones. They’re the best fit for the orthotic soles I need to wear for a ballet injury. Plus they look great with leather jackets and jeans in winter or dresses in summer. We’ve even tried to include my black boots in a photo shoot for The Sleeping Beauty when I was Carabosse, the evil fairy. Although they totally suited my black costume, the shot didn’t quite make the cut. Clytie Campbell will perform in the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s Giselle, November 29-December 2 at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, Auckland.
