A- League, today 7.35pm.

This is another big ask for the Phoenix. They’re on the road again, this time to play early season pace- setters Melbourne City. After their bold showing against Graham Arnold's Sydney FC, bagging a rare double against the Sky Blues at Allianz Stadium, the Nix will be up for this one but well aware City will be riding a wave of confidence after claiming bragging rights in the Melbourne derby. Tonight’s game is unlikely to attract anything like the 35,000- plus who turned out for the Victory game but there’s still plenty of interest. Attention then switches to the second of the season's derbies as Sydney FC return to Allianz to face Western Sydney Wanderers, who are also unbeaten after two rounds and coming off a 2- 2 draw with Central Coast. Tomorrow, Brisbane Roar, bottom of the table and with only one goal, host Newcastle Jets who, under new coach, former Phoenix boss Ernie Merrick, are mixing it with the big boys near the top of the table. Round three wraps in Perth with tomorrow's late game as the Mariners visit. Sydney FC have yet another home game on Friday when they host Perth Glory.
