Queue jumpers

Our media and social media are pushing our Government to bypass the Australian Government and take in Manus Island “refugees”.

We see these young men on TV refusing to move to an alternative refugee centre where they will be provided with food and accommodation.

These “refugees” had the wherewithal to pay people-smugglers to jump the queue, indicating that by and large they are economic refugees.

There are many thousands of genuine refugees such as the Rohingya people of Myanmar who face decades in camps. There are many more deserving refugees our country should accept.
