Was gripe on table?
Why exactly do Mr Peters’ legal manoeuvres discredit his postelection negotiations? And why does the Herald suggest that his actions indicate duplicity around his postelection negotiations with National? He may well have incorporated his gripe into the negotiations and received no satisfaction.
The suggestion that someone should ignore any illegal acts which may have affected some outcome or other, in order to avoid embarrassing important people, goes against the core of our legal traditions.
