Nelson short-changed

Refreshed after a week’s holiday in Waitangi, following her long overseas holiday, the PM briefly touched down in a Nelson region suffering from days of devastating fires. She magnanimously announced the Government would give a miserable $20,000 to the mayor’s relief fund. Meanwhile the Minister for Regional Development, Shane Jones, no doubt also refreshed after his big party and replete with his fund of $1 billion, continued to sprinkle multimillions around his home region.
