MUSIC ON MATANGI

If the stunning scenery and birdlife isn’t enough to entice you over to Tiritiri Matangi, then perhaps this will. Fifteen-piece fusion band OrigiNZ, which melds bagpipes, trumpets, vocals and more to create a Celtic-inspired music extravaganza will be playing a concert on the island in March. There’s no food for sale on the island so pack a picnic, and take your togs for a swim as the ferry will get you there with a couple of hours to enjoy the surrounds. March 2, 4.30pm-6.30pm.

Tiritiri Matangi. Ferry departs Auckland at 1pm, via Gulf Harbour at 1.50pm. Return ferry departs the island at 7.30pm.
