I loved every moment of my recent trek around South

America but it’s true, there is no place like the west.

I’m excited to be back manning the sports desk for what I hope is another successful year for our teams and athletes.

This year has already got off to a flyer with Suburbs New Lynn claiming the Auckland Cricket T20 Championship last week.

We love covering your events here at the Western Leader ,soif you or your club have any free sports events, tournaments, kids programs, club days or big matches coming up, we want to know about it.
