Win tickets to a Pop-up Globe play

The Pop-up Globe returns for summer presenting some of Shakespear­e’s famous theatre works.

The Ellerslie Racecourse gardens is hosting the full scale replica of London’s original second Globe Theatre built in 1614. This season includes four of Shakespear­e’s well known masterpiec­es, including comedies Much Ado About Nothing and As You Like it and tragedies Henry V and Othello.

The globe can host 900 people and includes a standing ’groundling­s’ area, seating and private stage-side rooms.

The Pop-up Globe Queen’s Company, with a mixed gender cast, will present Othello and Much Ado About Nothing. Pop-up Globe King’s Company will present As You Like It and Henry V with an all-male cast.

From the United Kingdom, Tom Mallaburn directs As you Like It with Ben Naylor directing Othello.

United Kingdom and New Zealand based Miles Gregory directs Henry V, and Kiwi director, Miriama McDowell, takes on Much Ado About Nothing.
