WATERVIEW TUNNEL

I don’t think it’ll make much of a difference for people who are travelling from west to the city, who are taking the Great North Route. But I might be wrong and wait [to see] what others have to say.

SYED SHAH

Definitely going to affect the traffic going north up the western motorway - not just at rush hour lots of south to north adding to the flow.

KENNY PATON Cornwallis/Huia/Parau

Surely if you remove some cars heading from west to south via spaghetti junction, it will reduce the traffic between Pt Chev and the city.

GUY HAGSTROM

I don’t think they will either [ever sort the traffic in Auckland], all they are doing is moving the traffic around. They should have built a rapid rail system on all motorways running alongside them. They will never win with the traffic congestion in Auckland.

ANNE-MARIE HAWKE Massey

A little off topic but I heard they may be allowing a walk through before it opens to vehicles . . . I haven’t been able to find anything about this one way or the other.

MIRIAM BROOKER Henderson

Don’t think they will ever sort traffic in Auckland.

MANDY LAVERY Henderson Sounds absolutely ridiculous. HAYDEN ROSS

Te Atatu Peninsula

What a stuff up. Autonomous vehicles will save Auckland! CAMERON NICHOLAS Avondale

Traffic signals will make it a joke to go through the tunnels, I

Why do they do this? First of all first home buyers have difficulty in having first homes then those who have homes, they want to take them away. People want their homes, not compensation or another home. Powers at be leave them alone. Hands off.

BARRY RICHARDSON

Glen Eden

What’s wrong with rainwater anyhow? Let’s keep it simple, saves tax dollars and probably healthier depending on who you ask!

ZELDA LAYNE Cornwallis/Huia/Parau

Yeah without consulting anyone in the area and by forcibly acquiring the homes and properties of nine or so local families! Unbelievable.
