Samuel Drew Lecture
This year’s Samuel Drew Lecture will be about French history and its impact on the colonial world, and Whanganui in particular. Its title is La Difference: French history in New Zealand and Whanganui before World War I, and the lecturer is Dr Kirsty Carpenter, an associate history professor at Massey University. It will start at 5.30pm in the Whanganui Regional Museum’s Davis Lecture Theatre, on November 16. The lectures are annual, and honour the museum’s founder.
