Try out a day at the gym to see if you like it
I often hear people saying joining a gym is not for them — but when you drill down a little further, often these people have never experienced what is on offer in a commercial fitness centre.
If you are in that category, or you have been thinking about joining a gym, then you might want to check out Kensington Fitness this Saturday.
They will be having an open day from 7.30am to 5pm where there is free entry all day.
There will be loads happening on the day right throughout the centre — downstairs in the Group Fitness Studios there will be free Les Mills Launch classes with giveaways (classes include GRIT 7.35am, RPM [cycle class] 8.05am, Body Pump 8.15am, SPRINT 9am, CX 9.30am and Body Balance 10.05am). Bookings are essential for RPM and SPRINT classes. There will also be a special boxing class held at 12 noon that will be limited to 20 people.
Tours of the facility will be on offer all day, with some excellent membership packages available for the open day only. These include a direct debit special and some great re-join packages for those existing members.
All those signing up on the day will receive the following:
• Kensington fitness towel.
• Five visit RPM card. • A one-month membership voucher to give away to a friend/family member. • One free personal training session.
All those who sign up on the day (including those re-joining) will go in the draw to win a six-month membership to give away.
Sport Northland’s “smoothie bike” will be racking up the kilometres making smoothies for visitors — we are hoping to have Northland rugby Taniwha riding the smoothie bike on the day, so don’t miss that opportunity to chat to our local rugby stars.
There will be free supplement tasting and free blood pressure checks on offer as well, and fitness instructors will be on hand to help those wanting help to workout on the cardio equipment and weights equipment.
If you want to get in shape in time for summer or check out why Kensington Fitness is considered the most comprehensive fitness centre in Northland, join the friendly team on Saturday.
