Property valuations out soon
Whanga¯ rei property owners will find out their new values before the end of the year.
The revaluation of all Whanga¯ rei properties is almost complete and owners can expect to get their new valuation notices in the mail before the end of the year, Whanga¯ rei District Council said.
The council is required to value all the properties in the district every three years. Valuations are conducted by an independent valuation company, Opteon, and audited by the Valuer General.
Anyone who has any questions about the revaluation can call the council for more information — either on 4304200 or 0800 9324636 (0800 WDCINFO).
After the 2015 revaluation, the capital value of Whanga¯ rei’s properties rose by almost 10 per cent.
