The besotted prince plans to pop the question

Woman’s Day (NZ) - - Update Royal -

Eyebrows were raised when Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle wore black to Pippa’s wedding, but insiders say it’s only a matter of time before she dons a white gown and says “I do”.

With Pippa’s nuptials out of the way, it’s believed loved-up Harry will propose any day now – but his advisors are urging him to wait until after the British election on June 8.

“Everyone’s sure that there will be a June announcement,” tells a royal insider. “Harry and Meghan just can’t wait to make it official. And there’s no way they’ll have a long engagement – they’re even talking about marrying later this year! Things are extremely serious.”

The prince made a 160-kilometre dash to London and back to pick up his actress lover so she could enjoy the reception, after she thoughtfully stayed away from the church ceremony to avoid stealing the bride’s limelight. The lovebirds were at each other’s sides for the entire reception, with the prince proudly introducing his girlfriend to guests. They even hit the dance floor together and partied into the small hours.

Says a source, “Harry looks like the cat that got the cream when he’s around Meghan.”

The lovestruck prince can’t wait to make Miss Markle his wife.
