Kim’s baby countdown

The troubled couple are back on track

The unstoppable Kardashian empire is set to expand once more as Kim Kardashian West and her hubby Kanye prepare for the January arrival of their third baby, said to be a little girl, via a surrogate. As reported in Woman’s

Day in July, Kim, 36, and Kanye, 40, paid a Californian woman close to $900,000 to carry their child after doctors warned Kim – who suffered life-threatening condition placenta accreta while carrying both North, four, and Saint, one – against another pregnancy.

The baby is a turning point for the couple, whose rocky marriage is said to finally be in a good place. “They’re starting to get back on track following a hellish few months, which caused a lot of tension in their relationship,” a family insider tells. “They’re both incredibly excited – and since the revelation that the Duchess of Cambridge is also expecting her third, Kim’s joked she’s ‘in fashion’ and is glad her arrival is due before the new royal baby so her thunder isn’t stolen.”

While the reality star is delighted she can be a mum again without having to endure the 30kg weight gain of her previous pregnancies, she’s taking no chances when it comes to the health of her unborn child.

Kim and Kanye have moved the surrogate into their Los Angeles mansion so she can be waited on hand and foot by the couple’s staff, according to our insider.

“Kim’s splashing out on daily pregnancy massages, facials and private yoga sessions. She’s also hired a chef to ensure she’s getting the best nutrition possible. Kanye was hesitant about moving her in at first, but Kim insisted it was best to keep an eye on her and show their support.”

Meanwhile, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for the family’s new arrival. Big sister North is still hostile towards her younger brother, so the expectant parents have called in the experts.

“Kim’s started North in ‘sibling training’, working alongside a child therapist and behavioural interventionist to help break down the negative thoughts she has about having younger siblings,” our insider tells us. “They know it’s only going to get worse once number three comes along, so they’re trying to nip her behaviour in the bud now so it’s happy families once her sibling comes along.”

Kim’s avoiding another risky pregnancy, like she had with North (above) and baby Saint (below).
