When we’re under stress, we produce adrenaline and cortisol. For any of us with chronic stress, overproduction of cortisol can lead to big problems – adrenal exhaustion, lower immunity and serious illness. Stress and anxiety can be worsened by eating the wrong foods. We might feel like chocolate in tough times, but junk food and sweeteet treats cause our blood sugar to spike, which is bad news for the adrenal glands as they’re forced to work overtime. Stick to healthy thy snacks and make a plan for reducing stress. Soo the your nerves by doing activities that relax you, try to arrive early to appointments and slow things down.
