He cleared out his dating diary in 2017 to enjoy a year of being “truly single”, but it looks like Nick Jonas is ready to give his relationship status a tweak.
The 25-year-old former boy bander has been on a string of lovey-dovey dates with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra, 35, and it looks like it’s getting serious.
A close friend explains, “People are saying it’s a great match because they’re both so talented and understand the industry. Priyanka knows how to have fun, but there’s also a gravitas to her. The same goes for Nick. He’s so serious but has a great sense of humour.”
The pair have been pals for many years, but those close to the Jonas Brother singer say he’s more than ready to move the Mumbaibased Quantico actress out of the friend zone.
And over the past few weeks, they’ve been spotted doing just that, enjoying intimate dates in New York and later in LA – including watching Beautyandthe
Beast Live in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl in late May.
An eyewitness who spotted the pair enjoying a late dinner together at LA’s upscale eatery Toca Madera reports, “They were laughing, smiling and even dancing at the table!”
And while they’re keeping tight-lipped about romance, the pair are less subtle on social media, frequently posting heart emojis on each other’s Instagram.
“Nick is captivated by Priyanka,” confides another pal. “He loves older women and that she’s so international and sophisticated. He says he’s never met another woman like her. He’s very caught up in it all.”
And that’s really saying something as Nick’s previous love list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood, with rumoured romances with Kate Hudson, Lily Collins, Delta Goodrem and Kiwi model Georgia Fowler.
But it looks like Priyanka – who recently attended the royal wedding as a longtime friend of the Duchess of Sussex – has really won Nick’s heart, despite their 10-year age gap.
“Nick adores older women who are mature like him,” adds the friend. “But they’re moving slow and keeping it casual – for now.”
