Woman’s Day (NZ) - - Hollywood Insider -

Ariana may have been criticised for her short skirt when she performed “A Natural Woman” at Aretha Franklin’s funeral in Detroit, but the preacher who led the nine-hour event copped much more flak after he appeared to grope the Italian-American singer on stage. Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, 60, later insisted, “It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast. I don’t know. I guess I put my arm around her. Maybe I crossed the border.” He was also forced to apologise to Ariana for comparing her name to a menu item at a taco restaurant, saying, “When you’re doing a programme for nine hours, you try to keep it lively – you try to insert some jokes.”
