The Fam­ily of Twelve, a fra­ter­nity of New Zealand’s most pres­ti­gious and en­dur­ing ar­ti­sanal winer­ies (Kumeu River, Villa Maria, The Mill­ton Vine­yard, Craggy Range, Ata Rangi, Pal­liser Es­tate, Neu­dorf Vine­yards, Nau­tilus Es­tate, Law­son’s Dry Hills, Fromm, Pe­ga­sus Bay and Fel­ton Road) is cel­e­brat­ing its 10th an­niver­sary this year. To hon­our this, Huka Lodge is pre­sent­ing a very spe­cial se­lec­tion of su­perb red wines from The Fam­ily of Twelve winer­ies for a mem­o­rable Big Red Din­ner. Ex­ec­u­tive chef Paul Frog­gatt and his team will cre­ate a fine-din­ing menu of dishes de­signed ex­pressly to match each of The Fam­ily of Twelve wines cho­sen for the evening. The din­ner will be hosted by Wil­liam Hoare, chair­man of The Fam­ily of Twelve. To en­sure guests get to sam­ple and en­joy wine styles from all the group’s mem­bers, there will be a wine and food match work­shop dur­ing the af­ter­noon. In the evening, pre-din­ner drinks will pro­vide another op­por­tu­nity to ex­pe­ri­ence The Fam­ily of Twelve wines, ac­com­pa­nied by canapés.
