LOUIS VUITTON’S GREAT ESCAPE

A LUSH JEWELLERY COLLECTION TAKES ITS CUE FROM ART DECO’S STREAMLINE MODERNE MOVEMENT.

Louis Vuitton’s “Acte V – The Escape” collection explores and brings a new perspective on the letter V, the iconic signature of the Maison’s High Jewellery. The collection discovers post-depression art deco style: the Streamline Moderne movement with its refined shapes, flowing forms, pure lines and dynamic curves. Inspired by engineering research into speed, the Streamline style was especially used to design planes and cruise liners, but also trains, cars and airships, reflecting a desire for discovery and exploration. As with the Streamline style and its clean lines, the V is multifaceted. Bursting with abstraction, it merges several shapes, expressing, deploying and freeing itself without losing its strength.

Capri earrings: white gold, white diamonds and two opals.
