Abrilliant meal de­serves to be ac­com­pa­nied by a bev­er­age of equal stand­ing – and no one un­der­stands this bet­ter than Fer­ran Adrià. Inedit Damm, a so­phis­ti­cated malt and wheat beer brewed with spices, bub­bled up from the mind of one of the world’s most ac­com­plished chefs and has just been launched in New Zealand. Known around the world for his three-miche­lin-starred res­tau­rant elbulli, his cook­books and his role in the de­vel­op­ment of molec­u­lar gas­tron­omy, Adrià worked with his team of som­me­liers and master brew­ers at Estrella Damm to cre­ate a beer that could ac­com­pany haute cui­sine with max­i­mum re­spect and be served at the best fine-din­ing restau­rants. Brewed with bar­ley and wheat malt, Inedit Damm is cer­tainly beer – but not as we know it. With a bou­quet that fea­tures co­rian­der, or­ange peel and liquorice, it’s made to ac­com­pany and com­ple­ment the var­ied flavours of mod­ern cui­sine.
