Business leaders to converge on Owerri for MAN’s 33rd AGM

BUSINESS LEAD ERS, CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY, technocrat­s, among others from across the country will converge on Owerri for the 33rd annual general meeting (AGM) of the Manufactur­ers Associatio­n of Nigeria (MAN), Imo-Abia branch.

The 33rd AGM will hold on Thursday October 22, 2020 at the main hall of the Villa Garden Hotel, New Owerri under the theme, “COVID-19 Impact: Government Response to the Manufactur­ing Sector”.

Last year, at the 32nd AGM held at Macy View Hotels the theme was “Nigerian Industrial Policy and the Survival of Manufactur­ing sector in Nigeria,” which was attended by the MAN national president, Mansur Ahmed.

In Mansur’s remarks, he told the governors of Imo and Abia states, who were represente­d, to wake up from slumber and improve the environmen­tal manufactur­ing conditions of the two states to enable the industrial sector to thrive.

As the 33rd AGM draws closer with the current theme around COVID-19 impact, Prince Henry Cyprain the executive of MAN, Imo/Abia, has sent a notice of the AGM to all the members, as well as other business leaders who will grace the occasion.

In an invitation mailed to Business A. M. and signed by the executive secretary, the private session, will include welcome remarks by the chairman, Jude C Eluma, and presentati­on of his annual report, presentati­on of annual account, affirmatio­n of officers into council, among others.
