Jonathan off to Brussels for Euafrica sum­mit

Pres­i­dent Good­luck Jonathan will to­day lead Nigeria’s del­e­ga­tion to Brussels for the fourth Euro­pean Union-Africa Sum­mit sched­uled to open in the Bel­gian cap­i­tal to­mor­row. Pres­i­den­tial spokesman Reuben Abati, in a state­ment yes­ter­day, said Jonathan’s en­tourage would inl­cude De­fence Min­is­ter Aliyu Gusaua, For­eign Af­fairs Min­is­ter Aminu Wali and Min­is­ter of In­dus­try, Trade and In­vest­ment Oluse­gun Aganga. Abati said par­tic­i­pants at the sum­mit in­clude Jonathan, Pres­i­dent of the Euro­pean Coun­cil Mr. Her­man Van Rom­puy, Pres­i­dent of the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion Mr. Jose Manuel Bar­roso, other heads of state and govern­ment of the Euro­pean Union and Africa.
