Rivers community seeks revitalisation of industries
Former Secretary- General of the Nigerian Bar Association, Barrister Nimi Wilson Jack said collapsed industries needed to be resuscitated to tackle unemployment in Rivers State.
He said this during interview with journalists after a monthly meeting of the Rivers State community held at the Rivers State House, Abuja.
Jack who is also seeking election into the office of the governor under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stressed that despite the N25 billion Rivers State gets from the Federation Account monthly, there is no development to show for the huge resources.
He lamented that most of the riverine communities in the state have been neglected in terms of development, adding that amenities such as schools, hospitals and pipe borne water continue to elude people of many communities in the state.
