Nda-Isaiah resigns as chairman of Leadership group
The Chairman of the Leadership Group of newspapers, Mr. Sam NdaIsaiah, has resigned.
A statement from the company said he resigned to pursue his political ambition in the next presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Group Managing Director of Leadership, Mr Azubuike Ishiekwene, said in the statement that Mr. Nda-Isaiah decided to step down after months of consultations with family, friends and associates.
“On April 2, 2014, the chairman and founder of the Leadership Group will step down from his current position as chairman. This is not a decision that he is taking lightly,” Ishiekwene said. “He has set the company on the solid growth path and we are proud of his legacy.
“In the last one year since he stepped down as Editorin-Chief of Leadership Group, a startup which he founded ten years ago, he has gravitated more towards active politics.”
The statement said Mr Nda-Isaiah could maintain his Monday Column for which he bears full responsibility.
