Nda-Isa­iah re­signs as chair­man of Lead­er­ship group

The Chair­man of the Lead­er­ship Group of news­pa­pers, Mr. Sam NdaI­sa­iah, has re­signed.

A state­ment from the com­pany said he re­signed to pur­sue his po­lit­i­cal am­bi­tion in the next pres­i­den­tial elec­tion on the plat­form of the All Pro­gres­sives Congress (APC).

The Group Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Lead­er­ship, Mr Azubuike Ishiek­wene, said in the state­ment that Mr. Nda-Isa­iah de­cided to step down af­ter months of con­sul­ta­tions with fam­ily, friends and as­so­ciates.

“On April 2, 2014, the chair­man and founder of the Lead­er­ship Group will step down from his cur­rent po­si­tion as chair­man. This is not a de­ci­sion that he is tak­ing lightly,” Ishiek­wene said. “He has set the com­pany on the solid growth path and we are proud of his legacy.

“In the last one year since he stepped down as Ed­i­torin-Chief of Lead­er­ship Group, a startup which he founded ten years ago, he has grav­i­tated more to­wards ac­tive pol­i­tics.”

The state­ment said Mr Nda-Isa­iah could main­tain his Mon­day Col­umn for which he bears full re­spon­si­bil­ity.
