IPMAN gets act­ing Pres­i­dent

In­di­ca­tions have emerged that Al­haji Aminu Ab­dulka­dir may have stepped aside as IPMAN pres­i­dent fol­low­ing the stake­hold­ers meet­ing sum­moned by PPMC MD Haruna Mo­moh in Abuja yes­ter­day on the di­rec­tive of the pres­i­dency.

This in a con­scious bid to end the on­go­ing lead­er­ship cri­sis in the as­so­ci­a­tion .

El­der Chinedu Oko­ronkwo is now the act­ing Pres­i­dent of the In­de­pen­dent Petroleum Mar­keters As­so­ci­a­tion of Nigeria (IPMAN), tak­ing over from Ab­dulka­dir who went on leave on med­i­cal ground, a source at IPMAN told Daily Trust Yes­ter­day.

The source said Oko­ronkwo will hold the post for just a month, adding that the congress to elect new lead­er­ship will hold in May.

The as­so­ci­a­tion, for the last two weeks, was into lead­er­ship cri­sis af­ter a Federal High Court in Port Har­court or­der asked Ab­dulka­dir to va­cate of­fice, but he chal­lenged the rul­ing at the an Ap­peal court.

The lead­er­ship cri­sis led to the clo­sure of the mar­ket­ing arm of IPMAN, Nipco Plc de­pot in La­gos by NUPENG.
