IPMAN gets acting President
Indications have emerged that Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir may have stepped aside as IPMAN president following the stakeholders meeting summoned by PPMC MD Haruna Momoh in Abuja yesterday on the directive of the presidency.
This in a conscious bid to end the ongoing leadership crisis in the association .
Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo is now the acting President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), taking over from Abdulkadir who went on leave on medical ground, a source at IPMAN told Daily Trust Yesterday.
The source said Okoronkwo will hold the post for just a month, adding that the congress to elect new leadership will hold in May.
The association, for the last two weeks, was into leadership crisis after a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt order asked Abdulkadir to vacate office, but he challenged the ruling at the an Appeal court.
The leadership crisis led to the closure of the marketing arm of IPMAN, Nipco Plc depot in Lagos by NUPENG.
