Glo un­veils fam­ily, friends se­cu­rity ser­vices

Globa­com, the sec­ond na­tional op­er­a­tor (SNO), yes­ter­day launched an ar­ray of Value Added Ser­vices (VAS) on its net­work with a se­cu­rity ser­vice tagged ‘Fam­ily and Friends Finder’.

The Glo ‘Fam­ily and Friends Finder’ which was among other ser­vices an­nounced by the op­er­a­tor gives op­por­tu­nity to par­ents, guardians as well as fam­i­lies and friends to mon­i­tor the lo­ca­tions of their loved ones es­pe­cially in view of the spate of kid­nap­ping in the coun­try.

Speak­ing at the launch of the ser­vices, the Group Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer (GCOO), Muhamed Jameel de­scribed the of­fer as an­other in­no­va­tive so­cial se­cu­rity ser­vice from Globa­com.

Jameel, who was rep­re­sented by the Glo Co­or­di­na­tor, Mar­ket­ing, Mr. Niyi Olukoya, noted that the VAS would fur­ther show the telco’s com­mit­ment to deliver cus­tomer cen­tric ser­vices.

He said cus­tomers can en­joy the ser­vice by down­load­ing Glo finder app on Play Store which is avail­able on An­droid de­vices or send an SMS to 5511.

Jameel how­ever noted that the fam­ily and friends finder ser­vice can used on any de­vice ir­re­spec­tive of the mo­bile phones make.

Other ser­vices in­clude Glo Game Store which al­lows sub­scribers to ac­cess and play all pre­mium games avail­able on smart­phones, Glo MENU for tips on health is­sues, Glo Di­rec­tory, Bor­row Me Credit, Daily In­spi­ra­tion and Glo Mo­bile News­pa­pers, Glo Joke Por­tal, Love Zone and Voice Twit­ter.

Speak­ing, Manorath Shukla of Glo Mar­ket­ing Depart­ment said cus­tomers can sub­scribe to the Glo Game Store by send­ing ‘Game’ to 6611 and a link to the store will be re­ceived by the sub­scriber.

Cus­tomers can choose sub­scrip­tion plan on Glo Game store with N20 per day, N80 per week and N160 per month.
