Akwa Utd targets two away wins

Daily Trust - - SPORT - By David Ngobua

After clinching two away draws in the ongoing Nigeria Premier League, Technical Adviser of Akwa United FC, Patrick Udoh has said his next target is to win at least two away matches.

Akwa United’s first away draw came in the week 2 match against Nasarawa United which ended 1-1 and was followed by the 1-1 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri in Kano. The results effectively put Akwa United who are yet to lose a match in the season on top of the table.

Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, the former First Bank FC of Lagos coach said to win the Nigerian League, he must win at least two away matches.

According to him, Nigerian clubs normally do everything to win all their home matches so if anyone is to win the league, he must dare the odds and get at least two away wins.

Udoh said it is not going to be easy but if officiating remains the way it is at the moment, he is confident of pulling even more than two away wins.
