…Prayers for late ex-INEC scribe

The third-day prayers have been held for the re­pose of the soul of a for­mer Sec­re­tary of the In­de­pen­dent Na­tional Elec­toral Com­mis­sion (INEC), Al­haji Adamu Bawa Mu’azu. He died at the Na­tional Hospi­tal Abuja on Mon­day af­ter a pro­tracted ill­ness at the age of 64. The third-day prayers were held on Wed­nes­day in Minna. Un­til his death, the late Mu’azu was the Ex­ec­u­tive Sec­re­tary of Na­tional Merit Award Cen­ter. He was sur­vived by two wives and 19 chil­dren. Niger State Gover­nor Mu’azu Ba­bangida Aliyu, through spokesman Dan­ladi Ndayebo, said the de­ceased would be re­mem­bered for the role he played in en­trench­ing democ­racy in the coun­try.
