PDP publicity secretaries condemn APC positions on national issues
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zonal and state publicity secretaries have, rising from a two day retreat in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, condemned the position of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on national issues.
The party’s publicity scribes however commended Ahmadu Adamu Muazu on his emergence as the PDP national chairman and applauded the steps the National Working Committee (NWC) under his leadership has been taking to reposition the PDP.
In a communiqué signed by Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali and Nwachukwu Ngige, chairman and secretary of the communiqué committee, the publicity secretaries commended President Goodluck Jonathan for staying focused in his commitment to transform Nigeria and his steadfastness to bringing a lasting solution to the insurgency in parts of the country.
“The retreat condemned in no uncertain terms, the attitude of the opposition who have been engaging in frivolous and unnecessary grandstanding over critical issues that affect the welfare of the people and the future of the nation,” they stated.
They also resolved that all publicity secretaries at different levels be empowered and properly positioned for effective discharge of their responsibilities while calling on the national leadership to further organise similar retreats at other levels.
