ICAN inducts 119 members
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) on Wednesday inducted 119 new members and cautioned them to be wary of corruption, money laundering and other fraudulent activities that may dent the image of the institute.
The institute’s president, Alhaji Kabir Alkali Mohammed, also stressed the need for the newly inducted members to discharge their duties dutifully in the course of their professional practices.
He said they should educate themselves more on how to handle issues on fraud and scam related cases.
According to him, it is also compelling for the inducted members to develop the habit of watching crime related films and attend court sessions where crime and fraud related cases are being tried.
Mohammed advised the new members to take advantage of the institute’s technical faculties to improve on their expertise.
