NEXIM Bank pledges im­proved in­sur­ance cover for ex­porters

The Nige­rian Ex­port-Im­port (NEXIM) Bank, on Tues­day, pledged its com­mit­ment to­ward en­sur­ing im­proved ex­port in­sur­ance for ex­porters in the coun­try.

The Com­plaint Of­fi­cer of the bank, Mrs Tochukwu Dimelu-Isana, made the pledge in Enugu in an in­ter­view with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the on­go­ing 25th Enugu In­ter­na­tional Trade Fair.

She said the bank would also im­prove its ex­port guar­an­tee and fi­nance to re­duce chal­lenges be­ing faced by ex­porters in or­der to en­cour­age and boost ex­ports.

Dimelu-Isana said the bank had in­sti­tuted a new project known as “sea-link” to aid the trans­fer of goods through the sea to re­duce chal­lenges faced by Nige­rian ex­porters.

“This is an ex­port credit agency that fa­cil­i­tates non-oil ex­port businesses. We sup­port man­u­fac­tur­ing com­pa­nies and agro-al­lied busi­ness.
