APC youth group decamps to PDP
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Frontier (YOUTH FRONTIERS) yesterday said that it has changed its platform to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It said it has changed its name to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Frontier for alleged lack of justice and internal democracy in APC.
National coordinator of the group, Usman Okai Austin, who addressed newsmen in Abuja along with its zonal coordinators and members, condemned the national leadership of APC for its inability to integrate the legacy parties together as one family before the ongoing congresses of the party.
Austin said the youths were not happy with the discriminatory way in which the party leaders handled leadership tussle in Kwara, Kano, Sokoto, Adamawa, Lagos and some South-West States.
He wondered why it was right for the former governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki, to be made party leader in his state, while it was wrong for the retired General Mohammed Buba Marwa to occupy similar status in Adamawa State.
“When the APC autocratically forced decamping PDP governors to come from nowhere and hijack the party built by others, was this justice or the practice of internal democracy?
“In Adamawa State for instance where Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd), a former CPC governorship candidate was unjustly pushed away from APC, after he worked hard to make the party formidable, the Youth Frontiers expected that since the merger became a reality, the General would have gotten commendation from the incumbent Governor Murtala Nyako.
