FG to flag-off Kabba- Egbe-Ilorin road this week

The Min­is­ter of Work, Mike Onole­memhe, has said that work on the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin road would com­mence this week to ease the suf­fer­ing of pas­sen­gers and mo­torists.

Onole­memhe dis­closed this yes­ter­day in Okene in Okene Lo­cal Govern­ment Area of Kogi State, dur­ing the dis­tri­bu­tion of em­pow­er­ment tools to about 1,207 youths and women of the cen­tral se­na­to­rial district by Se­na­tor Nu­rudeen Abatemi Us­man. He as­sured that the road would be com­pleted within three months.

Also speak­ing, Se­na­tor David Mark urged Nige­ri­ans to em­brace peace, say­ing with­out peace the na­tion can­not de­velop.

Ear­lier, Gover­nor Idris Wada said Se­na­tor Abatemi’s em­pow­er­ment pro­gramme was in line with his pol­icy to teach the people how to fish so that they can fish for them­selves and their fam­i­lies.

Se­na­tor Us­man, on his part, said:” the em­pow­er­ment was in ful­fil­ment of my cam­paign prom­ises to build a bet­ter fu­ture for my people, to up­lift the poor, em­power un­der­priv­i­leged and cre­ate jobs and wealth for my district”.
