Jonathan con­doles with Sul­tan over brother’s death

Pres­i­dent Good­luck Jonathan yes­ter­day com­mis­er­ated with the Sul­tan of Sokoto, Muham­mad Sa’ad Abubakar III over the death of his brother, Al­haji Bello Mai­wurno (Chi­ro­man Sokoto ).

The pres­i­dent who was rep­re­sented by Vice Pres­i­dent Na­madi Sambo on the visit dur­ing which spe­cial prayers were held for the re­pose of the soul of the de­ceased told the sul­tan to take so­lace in God over the death which he de­scribed as a great loss not only to his fam­ily and the Sul­tanate Coun­cil but also to the people of Sokoto and Nigeria.

In his re­marks, the sul­tan ex­pressed ap­pre­ci­a­tion for the visit and urged Nige­ri­ans to con­tinue to pray for peace and progress of the na­tion.
