Abaji part­ners FRSC to re­duce ac­ci­dents on Abaji/lokoja high­way

Abaji Area Coun­cil has stated its readi­ness to col­lab­o­rate with the Federal Road Safety Com­mis­sion (FRSC) to re­duce the num­ber of ac­ci­dents along the Abaji-Lokoja high­way.

The chair­man of the area coun­cil, Al­haji Ya­haya Garba Gawu, dis­closed readi­ness of the coun­cil dur­ing a meet­ing with FRSC of­fi­cials.

Ac­cord­ing to the coun­cil boss, the col­lab­o­ra­tion with the FRSC be­came nec­es­sary in view of the cru­cial role played by the com­mis­sion in en­sur­ing the safety of mo­torists and re­duc­ing ac­ci­dent rates on the road.

The chair­man re­it­er­ated his ad­min­is­tra­tion’s de­ter­mi­na­tion to boost the morale of the of­fi­cers of the com­mis­sion, urg­ing them to be alive to their du­ties.

Ear­lier, the Federal Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­tory (FCT) Sec­tor Com­man­dant, Mrs. S.A Ajenge, com­mended the coun­cil boss for his as­sis­tance, say­ing he has helped the com­mis­sion in the per­for­mance of its du­ties.
