Kaduna leg­is­la­tors pay last re­spect to late col­league

The re­mains of the mem­ber rep­re­sent­ing Kauru/ Chawai con­stituency in the Kaduna State House of As­sem­bly, Shaibu Tukura, who died on March 31, 2013 was brought to the As­sem­bly yes­ter­day for mem­bers to pay him their last re­spect. Daily Trust gath­ered that the late Tukura died at the age of 61 leav­ing be­hind a wife and five chil­dren. Speak­ing at the ple­nary ses­sion, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Peter Adamu, de­scribed the late Shaibu as an icon that loved de­vel­op­ment but died in the course of pro­tect­ing the in­ter­est of the poor. Other mem­bers in their sep­a­rate re­marks, de­scribed him as a zeal­ous mem­ber and pil­lar of po­lit­i­cal af­fairs who treated govern­ment mat­ters with se­ri­ous­ness. They prayed for his soul to rest in peace. His re­mains yes­ter­day left for his home town, Kushika in Kauru LGA for burial.
