Kaduna legislators pay last respect to late colleague
The remains of the member representing Kauru/ Chawai constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Shaibu Tukura, who died on March 31, 2013 was brought to the Assembly yesterday for members to pay him their last respect. Daily Trust gathered that the late Tukura died at the age of 61 leaving behind a wife and five children. Speaking at the plenary session, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Peter Adamu, described the late Shaibu as an icon that loved development but died in the course of protecting the interest of the poor. Other members in their separate remarks, described him as a zealous member and pillar of political affairs who treated government matters with seriousness. They prayed for his soul to rest in peace. His remains yesterday left for his home town, Kushika in Kauru LGA for burial.
