Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Johnson Olawumi has urged the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) to extend their services to the health sector.

The VSO is volunteer group in the development of the agricultural and education sector.

Gen. Olawumi made the call at the weekend when the group paid him a courtesy visit. He said the health sector was also in need of committed efforts to help revive it.

He appealed to the group to also expand the scope of its activities in Nasarawa, Kano and Kwara states.

The Country Director of the voluntary group, Sriramappa Gonchikar said their visit was to seek for collaboration with the NYSC scheme so that corps members would be engaged in voluntary services.
