Cres­cent Mis­sion gets new exco

The Cres­cent Mis­sion of Nigeria (CMN), a faith based or­ga­ni­za­tion, at the weekend in Abuja in­au­gu­rated new na­tional ex­ec­u­tive mem­bers.

The new Pres­i­dent of the mis­sion Prof. Ab­du­mu­min Has­san Rafind­adi, who is the Vice Chan­cel­lor of the Federal Univer­sity of Tech­nol­ogy, Kogi state with his newly sworn-in mem­bers took over from the for­mer exco led by Ha­jiya Mad­i­nat Dauda-Nad­abo.

Sec­re­tary, FCT Chap­ter of the mis­sion Al­haji Rani Isa said the MN was es­tab­lished in 2007 upon the re­al­iza­tion that govern­ment alone can­not deal with the emerg­ing so­cial prob­lems on its own with­out the ac­tive sup­port and par­tic­i­pa­tion of in­di­vid­u­als and or­ga­ni­za­tions.

Also speak­ing, Dr. Ndagi Adamu, CMN Na­tional Dis­as­ter Man­age­ment Ad­viser, called for vol­un­teers to con­trib­ute their skills and knowl­edge and wealth to­wards cre­atively prof­fer­ing so­lu­tions to the needs of the vul­ner­a­ble and dis­ad­van­taged in our so­ci­ety. He also called on vol­un­teers to do­nate their time to en­able CMN con­struct earth dams, sink wells, build dis­pen­saries and class­room blocks, and fa­cil­i­tate bore­holes to em­power the ru­ral poor and make their lives worth liv­ing.
