Crescent Mission gets new exco
The Crescent Mission of Nigeria (CMN), a faith based organization, at the weekend in Abuja inaugurated new national executive members.
The new President of the mission Prof. Abdumumin Hassan Rafindadi, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Kogi state with his newly sworn-in members took over from the former exco led by Hajiya Madinat Dauda-Nadabo.
Secretary, FCT Chapter of the mission Alhaji Rani Isa said the MN was established in 2007 upon the realization that government alone cannot deal with the emerging social problems on its own without the active support and participation of individuals and organizations.
Also speaking, Dr. Ndagi Adamu, CMN National Disaster Management Adviser, called for volunteers to contribute their skills and knowledge and wealth towards creatively proffering solutions to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society. He also called on volunteers to donate their time to enable CMN construct earth dams, sink wells, build dispensaries and classroom blocks, and facilitate boreholes to empower the rural poor and make their lives worth living.
