Rep cautions Adamawa PDP against hate politics
Hajiya Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa state to avoid politics of hatred or attack against other parties.
Hajiya Aishatu who is the Chairperson of the House of Representatives Committee on Constituency Outreach in the state also urged party members to reconcile and reunite for 2015 poll.
She said although Governor Murtala Nyako belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC), PDP members should respect him and avoid bitter politics which could disrupt the peace of the state.
She spoke during a visit to the Chairman of PDP in Adamawa State, Chief Joel Madaki, where she assured that she had no plan to defect to any party.
“I have come here to plead with our members to remain united and work for the progress of PDP in the general elections in 2015, a statement from her office quoted her as saying.
“I have no intention of defecting because this party made me what I am today. It is a great opportunity to be the first elected female member of the House of Representatives from this state, I owe the PDP a lot and I will continue to do my best to uplift the party,” she said.
On his part, the PDP Chairman in Adamawa State, Chief Joel Madaki, said: “I will do my best to keep this party united. There is no victor, no vanquished.”
