‘In­com­ing IBB Golf exco to build on cur­rent foun­da­tion’

The Cap­tain of IBB In­ter­na­tional Golf and Coun­try Club, Mr. Debo Olateju, has charged the in­com­ing ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee of the club to build on the foun­da­tion al­ready laid by the pre­vi­ous ex­ec­u­tives in or­der to take the club to higher heights.

Speak­ing o re­porters at the at the tee off of the IBB Cap­tain’s Cup 2014, Olateju said the out­go­ing ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee has done a a lot to raise the stan­dard of the club and there was need fort the in­com­ing lead­er­ship to so­lid­ify on the gains and take the club to the next level.

“I am happy that we have done a lot to up­lift the club, and my ad­vise to the in­com­ing ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee is to be fo­cused and build on the foun­da­tion al­ready laid by pre­vi­ous ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tees to take the IBB Golf Club to the next level,” Olateju said.

Sim­i­larly, chair­man of the 2014 IBB Cap­tain’s Cup Or­ga­niz­ing Com­mit­tee, Prince Moses Ade­laja said the com­mit­tee is ful­filled that the num­ber of par­tic­i­pants at the tour­na­ment out-num­bers ex­pec­ta­tion.

“The com­mit­tee is ful­filled and we are overwhelmed by the num­ber of par­tic­i­pants at this year’s event. We ex­pected 250 golfers but we have more than that to­day,” he said.
