No changes in Ea­gles’ pre -World Cup pro­gramme -NFF

The Nigeria Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion (NFF) said yes­ter­day that there has been no change to what has been streamed to the pub­lic pre­vi­ously as the Su­per Ea­gles’ sched­ule leading to the 2014 FIFA World Cup fi­nals in Brazil.

NFF As­sis­tant Di­rec­tor Me­dia, Ade­mola Ola­jire said in a state­ment yes­ter­day that the Fed­er­a­tion is yet to make changes to its ear­lier pro­grammes leading to the big­gest soc­cer show o earth.

“We have heard people talk­ing about can­cel­la­tion of the friendly with the Se­nior Team of USA. Sincerely, we don’t know where that is com­ing from.

“For avoid­ance of doubt, the NFF and its Of­fi­cial FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pa­chon of Euro­data Sport hereby re-con­firm that the Su­per Ea­gles will re­group in Lon­don on Satur­day, 25th May, play Scot­land at the Craven Cot­tage ground of English Pre­mier­ship side Ful­ham FC on

Tues­day, 28th May and fly to the USA on Wed­nes­day, 29th May.

“The African cham­pi­ons will play the Se­nior Team of Greece at the

Philadel­phia Union Sta­dium on 3rd June and then take on Team USA at the EverBank Field Sta­dium in Jack­sonville on 7th June, be­fore fly­ing to Sao Paulo on 11th June.”

Jairo Pa­chon of Euro­data Sport added: “The United States pro­vide us with sim­i­lar cli­mate and time zones as we will en­counter in Brazil and more im­por­tantly, pro­vide us with world class fa­cil­i­ties for both train­ing and ac­com­mo­da­tion, for our play­ers’ com­fort.

“This will give us the op­por­tu­nity to pro­vide the right at­mos­phere for our play­ers as well as af­ford them qual­ity train­ing fa­cil­i­ties ahead of the FIFA World Cup.”
