The speaker also called on political leaders not to play politics with the issue of insecurity in the country.

“I call on well-meaning Nigerians who have the capacity to donate blood to please come out to do so and whatever is required for the survival of the victims.

“As leaders in this country, we must all come together and support the government in addressing this challenge. We should stop playing politics with the issue of insecurity. From what I have seen among the victims, I doubt if they are members of any political party. We should address the issue, and it is not about any religion,” he said.

Also present at the time of Tambuwal’s visit was health minister Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu who went round to sympathize with the victims.
